No. 35 Tigers Fell to No. 16 Notre Dame, 4-0

CLEMSON, S.C. No. 35 Clemson (5-9, 1-3 ACC) fell 4-0 to No. 16 Notre Dame (14-2, 4-0 ACC) in a Sunday afternoon matchup in South Bend, Ind.

In doubles play, the Fighting Irish struck first with Noah Becker and Nicholas Patrick defeating Henrik Bladelius and Noah Cherubino Lopez, 6-0. The Tigers responded with Noa Vukadin and Viktor Markov, dispatched Sebastain Dominko and Peter Nad, 6-2. Perry Gregg and Luis Llorens Saracho clinched the doubles points for the Irish after defeating Marko Mesarovic and Matisse Farzam, 6-4. 

Llorens from Notre Dame advanced the Irish’s lead, opening up doubles, 6-3, 6-4. Following Vukadin fell short to Dominko, 6-3, 7-5, extending Notre Dame’s lead to 3-0. Shortly after, Giuseppe Cerasuolo defeated Farzam in two sets, 6-2, 6-4, for Notre Dame’s 4-0 victory.

  4. Nad (ND) led Bladelius (CU), 7-6, 3-3, ABD.
  5. Magimay (ND) led Mesarovic (CU), 6-4, 4-5, ABD.
  6. Llorens (ND) def. Cherubino (CU), 6-3, 6-4.
