No. 25 Tigers Cruise Past Wake Forest, 72-55

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) – Nuria Forns scored 18 points and Krystal Scott added 16 as No. 25 Clemson ended a four-game skid with a 72-55 win over Wake Forest on Sunday.

The Tigers (16-8, 7-6 Atlantic Coast Conference) took advantage of 24 personal fouls by the Demon Deacons, hitting 21 of 23 free throws, and outrebounded Wake Forest (11-13, 3-10) 47-38.

Neither team shot well, with Clemson hitting 38 percent from the floor and Wake Forest, which dropped its fifth straight, 36 percent.

Chrissy Floyd added 13 points for the Tigers, and Erin Batth had a game-high 10 rebounds. Scott had six assists for Clemson, which led 32-24 at halftime.

Eafton Hill led Wake Forest with 12 points, and Brenda Kirkpatrick and Olivia Dardy had 10 each.

Clemson, which had lost four in a row after peaking at No. 15, was coming off a 100-99 double-overtime loss to North Carolina.
