Clemson, S.C. – Senior guard Mia Moore (career-best 30 points, 12 rebounds, six assists) and graduate forward Demeara Hinds (14 points, 11 rebounds, six offensive rebounds) each recorded double-doubles to lead Clemson women’s basketball (17-8, 8-5 ACC) over Boston College (4-22, 0-13 ACC), 83-59 at Littlejohn Coliseum on Sunday afternoon. The Pair of double-doubles marked the first time two Tigers recorded double-doubles since Mar. 3, 2024 (Florida St.).
Moore’s 30 points were a career high and her third time this season, eclipsing the 20-point mark and came on an efficient 10-13 shooting. The senior’s double-double was her sixth of the season. Hinds (14 points, 11 rebounds) recorded her second double-double of the year and the sixth of her career. Her six offensive boards tied a season-high. Junior guard Rusne Augustinaite (15 points) joined them in double-figures for the 16th time this season. Senior guard Taylor Johnson-Matthews added 10 points. Clemson shot 57% from the field, the ninth time the Tigers have shot over 50% in a game this season.
Defensively, Clemson held Boston College to just 20-61 (32.8%) from the field. This marked the 13th game this season in which the Tigers have held their opponent to 40% or lower from the field. The Tigers held BC without a two-point field goal through the entire first half; their 27 points came on eight three-pointers and three free throws. Behind Moore and Hinds each notching double-digit boards, Clemson outrebounded the Eagles 41-27.
Boston College was led by Erin Houpt, who registered 14 points on 3-4 from the field and 3-3 from beyond the arc.
