CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson women’s basketball team will travel to Coral Gables, FL to take on the University of Miami (10-2, 1-0 ACC) on Thursday at 7:05 pm. Clemson (4-8, 0-1 ACC) has won four of their past six games overall, and look to wrestle control of the series with Miami, which sits at 5-5 all-time.

The game will be broadcast for a fee on Canes All Access at HurricaneSports.com, and is available on the radio on WCCP 104.9 FM. Fans can also listen to the Clemson broadcast at ClemsonTigers.com, or using the ClemsonTigers Android app.

The Tigers are coming off a 65-58 loss at the hands of No. 16/23 North Carolina on Sunday in the ACC-opener for both teams. Nikki Dixon led Clemson with 22 points, and is averaging 13.9 per game to lead Clemson.

Quinyotta Pettaway tallied 18 rebounds, the most rebounds by a Clemson player in a game since Dec. 14, 1991. She also added ten points for her third double-double of the season. Her 9.0 rebounds per game average is fourth overall in the ACC.

Clemson has relied on its defense this season, holding eight teams to 60 points or fewer this season so far. They lead the ACC in three-point field goal percentage defense (.240), are third in overall field goal percentage allowed (.340), and third in blocks per game (6.0). Each of those marks are good enough for the top-50 nationally.

Miami enters having won three in a row, including their league opener over NC State last week. They have been consistent offensively, scoring between 64 and 77 points in every game but one, a 42-34 loss to Rutgers.

Miami won their second straight in the series last season, 68-47, in Coral Gables. Clemson was coming off a win at Virginia Tech fewer than 40 hours prior to that game. Of note, Morgan Stroman, who is second on the Canes in scoring and leads them in rebounds, steals, and blocks, attended Lower Richland High School in South Carolina.

After playing at Miami, Clemson will turn around and play Georgia Tech on Sunday at 2:00 pm in Littlejohn Coliseum.
