RALEIGH, NC – Clemson senior Alyssa Kulik won the women’s 3000-meter steeplechase Friday at the Raleigh Relays with a meet record. The native of Simpsonville, SC produced a time of 10:12.25 in her first steeplechase run of the season, a solid start for the All-American in the event from a season ago.
Also in action Friday in Raleigh, Ute Jamrozy. Anthony was sixth place Friday, while Ruck was seventh.
Chris Slate was eighth in the top section of the men’s 1500 meters. The senior out of Delaware had a time of 3:47.60. Also on the men’s side, sophomore Ty McCormack was 13th place in the fastest section of the men’s 5000 meters. The Gainesville, GA product improved on his season-best with a time of 14:16.46.
The bulk of Clemson’s track & field program will compete Saturday at the Jim Click Shootout in Tucson, AZ. The Tigers will face Arizona, California, Miami (FL), Ohio State and Penn State in a scored competition.
