On Saturday August 15, IPTAY hosted its annual Rep Day here on the campus of Clemson University. Rep Day serves as both a thank you to the IPTAY Representatives for their efforts during the previous fiscal year as well as an opportunity for Reps to hear the latest news from IPTAY & Clemson Athletics.
The 2015 edition of Rep Day began in the west stands of Memorial Stadium to watch Coach Swinney and the Clemson Football Tigers scrimmage. This scrimmage was the first of the preseason and is part of the football team’s ongoing preparation for the 2015 football season. Following the scrimmage, IPTAY Reps made their way to The PAW located in the WestZone for lunch and to hear from several key members of both the IPTAY and Clemson Athletics staff. Speakers this year included IPTAY CEO Davis Babb, IPTAY Board of Directors President Joe Todd, Clemson Athletic Director Dan Radakovich, Quarterbacks Coach Brandon Streeter and the newest head coach at Clemson, Baseball Coach Monte Lee.
Each year IPTAY awards the top Rep for the Most New Donors and the Most New Money from donors to IPTAY. These awards are announced at Rep Day each year. For the 2015 fiscal year, the Most New Donors award went to Steve Hawley from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina who recorded nine new donors. The Most New Money award went to Chad Abramson of Columbia, South Carolina who aided in bringing in $36,000 new dollars to IPTAY.
The IPTAY Representative program is critical to the “One-IPTAY” enterprise. From its inception, the Rep program was designed to solicit new members and put the best foot forward for Clemson throughout local communities. As IPTAY moves into the future, it is important that each of us play a role in growing our membership so that we can continue to provide Clemson student-athletes with the complete athletic and academic experience.
