D’Alessio Named Semi-Finalist for Brooks Wallace Award

Junior first-baseman Andy D’Alessio (Naples, FL) was named one of 30 semi-finalists for the 2006 Brooks Wallace Award by the College Baseball Foundation in Lubbock, TX. The award goes to the nation’s top college baseball player. Last week, D’Alessio was named one of 16 semi-finalists for the Dick Howser Award, also given to the nation’s top player.

In 56 games this season, he is hitting .324 with 20 home runs and 71 RBIs, and has committed just one error in the field.
