Crawford Named ACC Track Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, NC – Clemson senior springer Shawn Crawford has been named the ACC Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Performer of the Week for the second straight week.

Crawford, a native of Van Wyck, SC, recorded one of the fastest times in the NCAA this year, as he was the top collegiate finisher in the 100-meter dash at the Duke Invitational. With a time of 10.18 seconds, he equaled the NCAA automatic qualifying standard. In the first meet of the outdoor season, the Clemson Relays March 18, Crawford sprinted to an automatic mark in the 200-meter dash. He finished the half lap in 20.33 seconds, well ahead of the NCAA automatic standard of 20.50 seconds.

The NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 31-June 3 at Duke University on the same track Crawford qualified in the 100 meters last Saturday.
