Position: Student Assistant Coach

In 2019, the Tigers, who were 9-8 against top-25 teams and 6-3 versus top-10 teams, were selected to the NCAA Tournament. Six Tigers earned All-ACC honors, tied for most in the league, and five Tigers were drafted, including first-rounder Logan Davidson. Grayson Byrd was an All-American and First-Team All-ACC selection who totaled 16 homers. Davidson was a first-team Academic All-American, just the third in school history. He became the first Tiger in history to total both double-digit homers and double-digit steals in three different seasons.

Lamb was a career .316 hitter with 20 doubles, six triples, seven homers, 81 RBIs, 96 runs and 31 steals in 138 games (112 starts) in the field over three seasons (2009-01) at Clemson. He also had a 5-5 record, three saves and a 4.47 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 98.2 innings pitched over 43 appearances (15 starts).

He was drafted in the second round (No. 83 overall pick) by the Texas Rangers in 2011 after being a Second-Team All-ACC player that year, when he had a 25-game hitting streak and an 11-game hitting streak.

In seven minor league seasons, including three at the AAA level, he was primarily a pitcher who was 27-23 with seven saves, a 4.20 ERA and 429 strikeouts in 463.1 innings pitched over 244 appearances (37 starts) for the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies.

Lamb, a native of Seaford, Va., is married to Courtney. He earned his degree in communication from Clemson in 2019. He was born Sept. 9, 1990 in Newport News, Va.
