Clemson’s Teagan Scott Earns IWLCA National And ACC Weekly Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson women’s Lacrosse freshman Teagan Scott was named IWLCA DI National Defensive Player of the Week and ACC Co-Player of the Week, announced on Tuesday afternoon.

This past week, against Furman (Feb. 10) and No. 4/5 Stanford (Feb. 14), Scott had 13 caused turnovers. The Charleston, S.C., native also recorded 10 caused turnovers against No. 4/5 Stanford, setting a new program single-game record for Clemson and becoming the first player in program history to reach double digits in caused turnovers. Over this span, Scott also picked up five ground balls.

Scott’s 4.7 caused turnovers per game ranks third nationally and first in the ACC.

The IWLCA National nod marked the fourth National Player of the Week Award in program history (third player in program history) to earn this recognition. The ACC Weekly honor marked the fifth Player of the Week award (fourth player in program history) that the program has received.
