Clemson Women’s Track And Field To Compete At Virginia Tech Challenge

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s track and field team will compete at the Virginia Tech Challenge this Saturday in Blacksburg, VA. The meet is slated to start at 10:00 a.m. with the women’s 5000m run and the women’s long jump.

Last weekend, Lady Tiger senior Gisele Oliveira is provisionally qualified in the triple jump, and Kyana Elder recorded a provisional qualifying time in the 60m hurdles. Moton’s mark ranks fourth in the nation in the weight throw and first in the nation in the shot put. Oliveira ranks fifth in the triple jump, and Elder is 10th in the hurdles.

The Lady Tigers were tied for 10th in the Feb. 5 Trackwire poll and are 14th in the Team Power Rankings.

News
