Clemson Women Win Back-to-Back Indoor ACC Championships

ACC INDOOR TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS

BOSTON, Mass. – Clemson track & field women won its second straight ACC Indoor Championship in Boston, Mass. Saturday evening with 82 points. The next closest team was Duke, who tallied 68 points. The men finished second with 88 points, falling short of a championship by six points.

The men’s sprints continued to be a major point source of points as Clemson placed four athletes in the top seven of the 60m final. Ian Johnson led the group with a third-place finish in 6.71 seconds to earn First Team All-ACC honors, followed by Andre Hodge in fourth, Cameron Bobcombe in sixth and Kevin Collins in seventh. On the women’s side, Aniyah Kitt and Makhaila Mills secured fifth and sixth, respectively, both earning Second Team All-ACC.

Oneka Wilson won the women’s 60m hurdles in 8.12 seconds. In 2025, she became the only female hurdler in ACC history to three-peat and today, she became the first woman to win the event in all four years. In the men’s hurdles, Sharvis Simmonds ran a personal-best 7.65 to finish third and move into sole possession of fifth on Clemson’s all-time list after tying for fifth in the prelims. The Tigers’ dominance continued in the men’s 200 meters, where Jalen Johnson claimed the ACC championship in 20.58 seconds. I. Johnson, Grant Holliday and Bobcombe followed in fourth, fifth and sixth to give Clemson four scorers in the event. Holliday later added a silver medal in the 400m with a time of 45.62.

The women’s distance group delivered one of the program’s strongest championship days in recent memory. Gladys Chepngetich placed second in the 800m, while Nancy Cherop finished runner-up in the mile before returning to win the 3000m in 8:56.32 to secure her first ACC title. Clemson closed the track events with a pair of strong relay performances, including a second-place finish for the men’s 4x400m relay in 3:07.15, tying for third on the program’s all-time list. The women’s relay placed fourth in 3:32.77, the third-fastest time in school history.

In the field events, Clemson added another ACC champion as Shantae Foreman won the women’s triple jump with a mark of 13.20 meters. Divine Aniamaka placed third in the men’s triple jump, while freshman Kimeka Smith delivered a standout performance in the women’s shot put, finishing second with a Clemson freshman record of 16.90m / 55’ – 05.50”, good for No. 2 on the program’s all-time list.

The Tigers’ strong finish built on momentum established earlier in the meet. On day one, Clemson opened the championships with a title in the men’s high jump as Shyhiem Scotland repeated as ACC champion, clearing 2.14m / 7’ – 00.25” to become the second athlete in program history to win the event in back-to-back years. Scotland and teammate Brandon Pottinger went 1–2, while Jacob Carruthers added a seventh-place finish. Clemson also advanced five men to the 200m final and earned points in the pole vault through Matthew Philips’ personal-best clearance.

Day two featured a wave of qualifiers as 11 Tigers advanced to Saturday finals. Clemson placed four men in the 60-meter final and two women in the women’s 60m, while Simmonds and Wilson advanced comfortably in the hurdles. Chepngetich and Cherop moved on in their respective distance events, and the women’s long jump produced two All-ACC Second Team honorees in Aiya Webb and Foreman.
