CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving team will hold its Orange and White meet Friday September 18 at 5:00 pm in McHugh Natatorium. This will be the Tiger’s first competition of the season as they prepare for their season opener at Davidson on October 3.
“The Orange and White meet is a great season starter,” said Head Coach Christopher Ip. “It allows our freshman to experience their first taste of Collegiate competition and is a great motivator for returning Tigers. As coaches this is the platform for us to evaluate our programs strengths and competitive spirit.”
The competition will include the Orange team vs. the White team. It will be the first chance for the Tigers to see the top 25 women’s recruiting class along with the incoming men’s class that will be highlighted by sprinter Eric Bruck.
The veterans will also be taking to the pool. Senior co-captain Katrina Obas is returning as the school record holder in the 100 and 200 breaststroke for the women. On the men’s side Tom Recko will be returning as the ACC runner-up in the 200 backstroke and school record holder in the 100 and 200 backstroke.
The meet will begin at 5:00 pm and is free and open to the public.
