Day Two Results

Clemson, SC – The Tiger Multi-Event Open concluded on Tuesday at Clemson’s Rock Norman outdoor track facility. Miller Moss, a Clemson freshman who is red-shirting this season, won the decathlon as an unattached athlete.

Ryan Koontz was second with 5,795 points. A no-height in the pole vault affected Koontz’ overall point total. He also did not compete in the 1500m run in the day’s final event. He did, however, set a personal best in the discus throw with a mark of 123’10”. Koontz also ran a 14.50 in the high hurdles on the opening event of day two, best among the field. Koontz was second in the javelin throw at 149’4″. He has an NCAA provisional qualifying total of 7,137 points.

Other highlights from Tuesday included Mike Feathers’ personal best in the discus throw (126’4″). He was second among the field of competitors in that event.

The Tigers return to action this weekend for the Georgia Tech Invitational, which will take place at the George C. Griffin Track in Atlanta, GA.
