Clemson Hosts North Carolina Thursday

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s basketball team to play host to North Carolina Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. in Littlejohn Coliseum.

Clemson will enter the game with a 15-7 record overall and a 6-4 mark in the ACC. North Carolina has a 12-10 record overall and a 4-7 record in league play.

Clemson is led in scoring by freshman sensation Chrissy Floyd with a 12.9 ppg. average. Erin Batth leads the team in rebounding with a 7.1 rpg. mark.

LaQuanda Barksdale leads the team in scoring, 17.2 ppg., and rebounding, 8.8 rpg.

This game will also be the “Take a Kid to the Game” day. “Take a Kid to the Game” is a national promotion that is designed to develop a new group of basketball fans locally and nationally. All children eighth grade and under are admitted free with a paying adult.

This will be the 55th meeting between Clemson and North Carolina on the basketball court. Clemson leads the overall series 30-24. The Tigers defeated the Tar Heels 60-59 in Chapel Hill, NC on January 10.
