Chepngetich Runs No. 2 NCAA 800m Time in Boston, Day One of Bob Pollock Concludes

BOB POLLOCK RESULTS | BU JOHN THOMAS TERRIER CLASSIC RESULTS

CLEMSON, S.C. – Gladys Chepngetich and Nancy Cherop each secure school records for Clemson in the Boston University John Thomas Terrier Classic, while most of the track & field program concluded day one of the Bob Pollock with three all-time top 10 performances and eight personal records.

In Boston, Chepngetich placed third in the women’s 800m invite with a time of 1:59.47, breaking the Clemson and ACC records and ranking second in NCAA history. Cherop followed with her own school record, finishing sixth in the women’s 3000m with a time of 8:51.10. Her time beat the previous school record by 24 seconds.

At the Bob Pollock Invitational, three Tigers delivered all‑time top‑10 marks. Aiya Webb jumped 6.26m / 20’ – 6.50” to move to No. 7 in program history, while Matthew Auble extended his No. 2 all‑time standing in the weight throw with a PR 21.54m / 70’ – 08.00”. Andre Hodge matched his 6.65 from last week in the 60m semifinals, tying for 10th on Clemson’s all‑time list.
