CLEMSON, S.C. — Former Clemson All-American and 2017 United States Amateur Champion Doc Redman won the Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank on Sunday in La Reina, Chile. It was his first PGA Tour victory on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Redman shot a final round four-under-par 67 on the Prince of Wales Country Club course thanks to eight birdies against four bogeys. He finished the 72 holes with a 19-under-par score of 265. His 19-under-par score tied the tournament record for the seven-year event. Logan McAlister was 19 under when he won last year.
Redman won the Astara Chile Classic by five shots over Cooper Dossey and Michael Johnson. The victory margin was the largest on the Korn Ferry tour since Adrien Dumont de Chassart had a seven-shot win at the Compliance Championship in 2025.
Redman is the first Clemson golfer to win a Korn Ferry Tour event since Bryson NImmer, his college teammate, won at the Tulum Championship last year at PGA Riviera Maya.
With the victory, Redman is guaranteed entry to all Korn Ferry Tour events the rest of the year. He improved to fourth on the Korn Ferry Tour points list.
Born in Chapel Hill, NC and raised in Raleigh, Redman played two years at Clemson, the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years. He finished his career with a 70.70 career stroke average, still the best in Clemson history. He won two tournaments at Clemson and captured the 2017 United States Amateur championship at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. He was named a third-team All-American in 2018.
