Gainesville, Fla. – Clemson women’s golf opened play Friday at the 54th Gators Invitational, finishing the first round tied for sixth after carding a team score of 298 (+10) at Mark Bostick Golf Course.

The Tigers sit tied with Georgia Southern on the team leaderboard after 18 holes. Host Florida leads the field at 9-under, followed by Virginia at 5-under and North Carolina at 2-over.

ON THE SCORECARD
Clemson was led by Aitana Tuesta and Sydney Roberts, who each posted rounds of 71 (+1) to finish the day tied for 16th individually.

Isabella Rawl followed with a 73 (+3), placing her tied for 29th, while Sarah Uebelhart recorded a 75 (+5). Juliette Demeaux rounded out the Tigers’ counting scores with a 76 (+6).

Competing as an individual, Ivy Schulze also delivered a strong opening round, carding a 73 (+1) to sit tied for 16th.

Florida’s Siuue Wu holds the individual lead after firing a 65 (-5) in Friday’s opening round.
