Tigers Finish Third at Paradise Invitational After Final-Round Charge

Boca Raton, Fla. – Clemson women’s golf capped off its spring-opening event with another under-par performance Wednesday, firing a final-round 281 (-7) to secure a third-place finish at the CIEE Florida Atlantic Paradise Invitational. The Tigers posted a three-round total of 861 (-3), finishing behind Tennessee (-10) and Kentucky (-6) in the 16-team field.

Clemson made a decisive move over the final two rounds of the tournament. Following an opening-round 300 (+12), the Tigers responded with rounds of 280 (-8) and 281 (-7), playing the final 36 holes at 15-under par – the best two-round stretch by any team in the tournament.

ON THE SCORECARD

Clemson’s climb up the leaderboard was fueled by balanced team scoring over the final two rounds. Across the final 36 holes, the Tigers recorded 6 of 8 counting scores at par or better and tallied 51 birdies over 270 holes played, birdieing approximately 19% of holes.

The Tigers were particularly strong early in rounds during the final day, combining to play the front nine at 6-under par in Wednesday’s closing round. Over the final two rounds, Clemson averaged 70.13 per counting score, compared to 75.00 in the opening round.

With their third-place finish at the Paradise Invitational, the Tigers have now finished in the top five in five of six tournaments this season.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

Senior Isabella Rawl delivered a standout performance in the final round, carding a tournament-low 65 (-7) to finish tied for fifth individually at 5-under overall. Rawl made a 12-shot improvement from her opening round and played the final 36 holes at 10-under, tied for the lowest two-round total of any player in the field.

Sarah Uebelhart closed the tournament with back-to-back 69s, finishing tied for seventh at 2-under overall. Her steady scoring over the final two rounds helped anchor Clemson’s late-week surge.

Juliette Demeaux continued her consistent play throughout the tournament, closing with a 75 (+3) to finish tied for 22nd at 2-over overall. Demeaux recorded three rounds of 75 or better and was Clemson’s most consistent scorer across all three days.

Keya Naik added a 74 (+2) in the final round to finish tied for 40th at 7-over, while Sydney Roberts rounded out the lineup with a final round 73 (+1) to finish tied for 48th at 9-over.

Competing as an individual, Ivy Schulze closed with an even par 72, finishing tied for 55th at 10-over.
