CLEMSON, S.C. – Clemson (1-1-1) has its home opener against No. 12 South Carolina (4-0-0) this Thursday, August 28 at 7 p.m. This will be the 32nd meeting between the two schools and count towards the 2025-26 Palmetto Series, presented by the South Carolina Education Lottery. Clemson leads South Carolina 16-11-4 in the all-time series for women’s soccer, where the Tigers have gone 3-0-3 over the last six contests with the Gamecocks. This Season’s Quick Kicks

  • Last time out, the Tigers fell to Virginia Tech 4-0 in a road nonconference matchup.
  • Freshman Juju Harris holds a team-leading three points (one goal and one assist).
  • Renee Lyles netted her first goal of the season (18th in her career) in the Tigers’ season opener against Ohio State after missing all of the 2024-25 season due to injury.
  • Freshman Neely Kerr leads the team with two assists on the year (one against Ohio State and the other, Ohio University).
  • Mackenzie Duff is the only non-goalkeeper to have played every minute for the Tigers this season.
  • Addy Holgorsen (1-1-1 in goal) opened the season with 10 saves, one goal allowed (0.909 save percentage) and one shutout between the Ohio State and Ohio University matches. Following the Virginia Tech match, she now has 12 total saves on the season.
  • In the first half of matches this year, Clemson leads in goals (2-1), shots (15-11) and corner opportunities (8-7) while also committing less fouls (12-14) in comparison to its opponents.
  • The defense has limited opponents to only one shot on goal out of 11 total shots taken in the first half of matches.
