CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Tigers head to Oak Ridge, Tenn. to open their 2024 spring season on March 16 and 17 at the Cardinal Invite. In Oak Ridge, Clemson will face North Carolina, Navy, Indiana, Alabama, Duke and Wisconsin. The race results can be found here.Â
The Tigers took the opportunity to hold a scrimmage against themselves and a scrimmage against Boston College the previous two weekends to prepare for the official race season. Leading the Tigers this season are captains Caroline Emerson and Kristen Dutkin. Julia Walsh, Amelia Anglin and Abby Dutton join Emerson and Dutkin to make up the 2023-2024 Leadership Council.Â
Clemson’s 3v8/1n8 will start the racing at 9:14 a.m. against fellow ACC opponents, North Carolina and Duke. The Tigers will also face the Tar Heels and the Blue Devils in their next several races as the 1v8 competes at 9:22 a.m., the 1v4 competes at 9:30 a.m., the 2v8 competes at 9:38 and the 2v4 competes at 9:46 a.m. Clemson’s 3v4 will close out the morning as they face off against North Carolina, Indiana and Wisconsin at 9:54 a.m.
Clemson will return to the water at 5:02 p.m. as they race against Navy in the 3v8/1n8. Immediately after, the Tiger’s 1v8, 1v4, 2v8 and 2v4 will race against Louisville and Navy to finish day one at the Cardinal Invite.Â
On Sunday, Clemson will be racing against Indiana, Alabama and North Carolina. The day will start at 10:26 a.m. with the 3v8/1n8 and then the 1v8, 1v4, 2v8, 2v4 and 3v4 will follow before concluding at 11:06 a.m.Â
