Bornkamp Named United Soccer Coaches All-American

CLEMSON, S.C. – Sophomore defender Megan Bornkamp became the first women’s soccer player in school history to earn All-America honors in each of her first two seasons as she was named to the Third-Team by United Soccer Coaches. Bornkamp is one of 47 players to be named an All-American and just one of 14 players among this season’s honorees to earn the designation more than once.

Bornkamp adds All-American honors to her 2021 resume along with First Team All-ACC, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Atlantic Region, ACC All-Tournament Team and Preseason All-ACC Team. She led the team in goals this season with 10 as a center back and registered 30 points for the Tigers throughout the season, also a team high. Bornkamp was third in the ACC for total assists, fourth in points per game, fourth in total points and seventh in goals per game.

“Congratulations to Megan on this well deserved honor,” said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “This is the by-product of hard work and a desire to get better. I’m sure Meg would thank her teammates at Clemson who helped her on this journey. The best is yet to come for Meg!”
