CLEMSON, SC – The Clemson men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will play host to the NC State Wolfpack on Saturday at noon. Saturday is Senior Day and the Tigers will honor 17 seniors prior to the meet. Due to renovations of Clemson’s McHugh Natatorium, the meet will be held at the Spartanburg Middle Tyger YMCA in Spartanburg, SC. The diving competition for the meet will be held at the Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatic Center in Charlotte, NC and is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m.
The Tiger women’s team is 6-6 overall and 1-3 in the ACC. Clemson fell to #12 Virginia last weekend in Charlottesville by a score of 130-105. The Tigers’ Elise Thieler finished second in the 50 free and third in the 100 free against the Cavaliers.
The Clemson men’s team has a 6-4 record in dual meets and is 2-2 in the ACC. Last weekend, the Tigers dropped a 134-103 decision to the ninth-ranked Cavaliers. Craig Thomas won the three-meter and finished second in the one-meter diving competition against Virginia.
NC State’s women’s team is 6-6 overall (2-4 ACC), most recently defeating Georgia Tech by a score of 176-88. The Wolfpack men’s team is 7-2 in dual meets and 3-2 in the ACC. The team won a 149-114 decision over the Yellow Jackets last weekend in Raleigh, NC.
