Staff Gets First Look at IPTAY Center

IPTAY and Ticket Staff Get First Peek

Members of the IPTAY and athletic ticket staffs had the opportunity to see first-hand the progress made on the new IPTAY Center for the first time, led by team members from both Jumper Carter Sease Architects and Thompson Turner Construction. The building is set to open in the Fall of 2019. To see a complete recap of the outing and to hear from IPTAY CEO Davis Babb, check out the latest episode of The Vlog.

The IPTAY Center is the latest project in the ongoing efforts to expand and enhance the Clemson University athletic facilities, and serve as the long-term home for IPTAY and the Ticketing staff. Past projects include the Allen N. Reeves Football Complex, the baseball player facility, the Littlejohn Coliseum renovation, new soccer practice fields and most recently the construction of the new Duckworth Family Tennis Center.

The new IPTAY Center project is one that will fulfill the needs of IPTAY and the Clemson University Athletic Ticket office staffs well into the future. The old facility on the Avenue of Champions, housed over 25 full time staff members with only 14 permanent office spaces available in the footprint. Plans for the new building include the addition of a third floor, substantial office additions, many modern updates including fully wired offices and collaborative meeting spaces, a two-story lobby entrance and an outside deck space for events and game day operations.

Plans for the new building also include space for future growth. IPTAY and the ticket office, like the rest of the athletic department, have seen tremendous growth over the past decade. With the anticipation of continued advances in the world of intercollegiate athletics, the new facility allows the staff to grow with the trends within the industry.

The IPTAY Board of Directors have worked tirelessly to help bring this project to fruition. Their leadership in conjunction with athletic and university officials have led to the culmination of a new and functional space, to aid in the future success of IPTAY and Clemson athletics.

In the lobby of the new facility, a memorial for the late Bert Henderson will recognize his more than 40 years of service to IPTAY and Clemson athletics. In addition, the new building will feature many naming opportunities for supporters of IPTAY to leave their legacy. If you are interested in making a gift to the Bert Henderson memorial, or would like to learn more about any potential naming opportunities, please reach out to IPTAY by phone at 1-800-Clemson or by email at iptay@clemson.edu.
