This year, Clemson’s game vs. Georgia State was chosen as the annual Military Appreciation Day on the football schedule. It’s a great opportunity for us to show our gratitude for those who have served our country.
But we know there are some Clemson graduates who are currently serving in the military and therefore can’t be at Memorial Stadium for Military Appreciation Day. To let them know how grateful we are for their service, we wanted to find a way to include them in the day’s ceremonies.
So we’re asking fans to submit photos of Clemson alumni who are currently serving in the military to be included on the cover of the souvenir game program along with Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient Daniel Rodriguez and fellow seniors Corbin Jenkins and Michael Sobeski.
Email your photos to promo@clemson.edu or submit them on social media to @ClemsonTigers on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. The deadline to submit photos is Sunday, November 2.
With the photo, please include:
-Full name -Branch of military -Location where they’re currently serving -Year of Graduation from Clemson
Clemson Associate Director of Athletic Communications and graphic designer Jeff Kallin (the originator of the idea) will then incorporate the photos and info into the final design of the game program.
Thank you for helping us show our appreciation to the active military members who can’t join us at Memorial Stadium on November 22! We hope this will be a great keepsake for them and a small token of our gratitude for their service.
