We are currently in the middle of a week between games. During this time we are taking two days off. During these two days we are provided time to catch up on school work, but to also let a few people rest their injuries. We are healthy for the most part right now, the only problem being Will Solomon recovering from the flu.
Maryland is coming up on Tuesday and we feel that we are in a great position to win that game. Tuesday was another tough loss. We should have been in that game much more than what we were. The problem was that every time we turned the ball over Virginia scored, which lead to us digging our own grave.
The ACC race is wrapping up and everyone is working for position for the tournament. With Virginia’s win Tuesday night they are only a half game behind North Carolina, who they play this weekend. We are currently tied with Georgia Tech for eighth place and Florida State is one game in front for seventh. Georgia Tech still has Florida State, North Carolina State, Wake Forest, North Carolina and then us left on their schedule. We have Maryland, North Carolina State, Duke and then Tech left. The deciding game could be the one in Atlanta on March 4. We need to get another win before then to put ourselves in great position.
