Masaracchia, Lamparter Earn Preseason All-America Nods

CLEMSON, S.C. – USA Lacrosse announced on Wednesday, January 22, that Clemson’s Paris Masaracchia and Emily Lamparter were both named as USA Lacrosse Division I Women’s Preseason All-Americans as a part of the second team and as an honorable mention, respectively. The All-America teams are produced by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from coaches around the country, and the full list of the All-America team can be found here.

Masaracchia and Lamparter are expected to be impact players for the upcoming 2025 season and have started every game in Clemson Lacrosse program history.

Masaracchia, who was recently named a team captain, has been a defensive force for years for Clemson, as she recorded the most ground balls for the Tigers in consecutive years and had the most caused turnovers for Clemson over the past two seasons. The junior defender also had the sixth-highest total in the ACC for caused turnovers and caused turnovers per game while being the highest-ranked underclassman in the ACC in both categories. The Pennsylvanian has also earned her fair share of accolades during her tenure as a Tiger, as she was named to the All-ACC Second Team last year, the All-ACC Freshman Team and the Academic All-ACC Team in consecutive years.

Lamparter has been a stalwart at the cage for the Tigers. During her All-ACC Second Team campaign last season, she was in the top six in the ACC for every major goalie statistic, including being second with a save rate of 46.2% and third with 8.17 saves per game. The South Carolinian had a career-high 16 saves in 2024 and played a pivotal role in keeping Clemson close to Notre Dame as she produced two game saving stops at the end of regulation and in the first overtime. In 2023, she was second in the ACC with a save rate of 47.3% and top-20 nationally.  Like Masaracchia, Lamparter has also been the recipient of her fair share of accolades where, in addition to being named to All-ACC Second Team last year, she earned an IWLCA Defensive Player of the Week in 2023, is a two-time Academic All-ACC honoree and was named to the 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team.
