CLEMSON, S.C. – Former Clemson University men’s basketball player and 2016 San Antonio Spurs second-round selection Jaron Blossomgame has inked a training camp contract with the Spurs.
Blossomgame averaged nearly 30 minutes per contest and averaged 16.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He shot 54.5 percent from the field, 30.1 percent from distance and 78.5 percent at the charity stripe for the Austin Spurs. He also added 70 assists, 40 steals and 23 blocks.
He finished with the second-highest plus-minus of anyone on the roster with a +221 over the course of the season. Blossomgame’s 408 rebounds led the team, while his 118 boards on the offensive glass also led Austin.
Following the championship, Blossomgame was a member of the Spurs’ summer league squad where he led the team in scoring with 13.0 points per game and shot 57.8 percent from the field. He also finished 40.0 percent from behind the three-point arc. On the boards, Blossomgame grabbed 7.6 rebounds per contest to the lead the team.
