Clemson Women’s Soccer Team to Play Host to Coastal Carolina Wednesday Night

Clemson, SC – The preseason 19th-ranked Lady Tiger soccer team will play host to Coastal Carolina on Wednesday night at Riggs Field. The match between Clemson and the Chanticleers is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.

The Lady Tigers and the Chanticleers have met only once previously on the soccer field. In 2003, Clemson, led by Bramble, defeated Coastal Carolina by a score of 2-0 at Riggs Field.

Clemson opened the 2007 regular season last Friday evening with a 4-0 victory over Liberty at Riggs Field. Nuria Zufia, Julie Bolt and Molly Johnson netted goals for the Lady Tigers in the season opener. Molly Franklin tallied two assists in the match for Clemson, while Bolt and Courtney Foster added one apiece.

Coastal Carolina opened its 2007 season on Monday evening against Wofford. The Chanticleers fell to the Terriers by a score of 3-2 in Spartanburg, SC.
