Clemson Women’s Soccer Defeats Wake Forest 3-0

Clemson, S.C. — The #5 ranked Clemson Lady Tiger women’s soccer team got two goals from Freshman Lindsay Browne and two assists from sophomore Deliah Arrington as Clemson defeated #24 Wake Forest at Historic Riggs Field on Tuesday night.

Clemson improves to 15-1 overall and 5-1 in the ACC. With the loss, Wake Forest falls to 7-7-1 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Browne scored Clemson’s first goal at the 43:36 mark with assists from Tanya Peterson and Tatum Clowney.

Clemson took a 1-0 lead into halftime but then tallied two more goals in the second half. Lea Shreve scored at the 65:42 mark with assists from Arrington and Alison Sinclair. Later in the half, Browne scored her second goal of the game at the 85:52 mark on Arrington’s second assist of the game. In goal for the Tigers, junior Katie Carson recorded her second straight shutout.

Clemson will be in action again this Sunday, October 22 as they play at NC State. Their next home game will be against Florida on Friday, October 27 at Historic Riggs Field.
