Clemson to Race Sunday at Occoquan Sprints

CLEMSON, S.C. – After a week off from racing due to spring break, the Clemson rowing teams returns to the water on Sunday, March 29 at the Occoquan Sprints held in Fairfax Station, Va. The all-day racing begins for the Tigers 10:28 and goes through the final race of the day at 2:26.

Clemson opened up the season on March 14 in convincing fashion, notching wins in all six races over ACC-foe Duke and the Boston University Lightweights on Lake Hartwell. The Tigers received three votes in the CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll released Wednesday.

Racing will begin at 10:28 a.m. with the JV8+ final pitching the Tigers against George Mason, Bucknell and North Carolina. Three heats of V8+ action follows, beginning at 11:03 a.m. The V8+ final concludes the day at 2:26 p.m. A 2- final will start at 11:52 a.m. followed by the three-V4+ finals beginning at 1:16 p.m. Twelve total schools including Clemson will be in action.
