Feb. 7, 2006

CLEMSON, SC–Four players have signed national letters-of-intent to play women’s soccer at Clemson as announced by Head Coach Todd Bramble Tuesday.

Molly Franklin, Lily Boleyn, Katie Vogel, and Nikki McEachern are this year’s freshman class that will enroll in the fall at Clemson.

Franklin (Frederick, MD) is a member of the Region I ODP team. She was also a member of the Maryland and Virginia state ODP teams. She played for the Bethesda Eclipse Club team and she has helped lead this team to the USYSA National Finals in 2002.

She also has led her high school team to two state championships. She is also an NSCAA Region All-American and a NSCAA All-American. She was also named all-state, and the Maryland state player of the year in 2005.

Boleyn (Ellicott City, MD) is an honor roll student for several years. She was named an NSCAA Region All-American in 2005. She has been named all-state in the state of Maryland and all-metro in the Baltimore and Washington DC areas.

Vogel (Marietta, GA) has been a member of the state ODP team for five years and a member of the Region III ODP team for two years. In high school, she was named all-state and all county. She played for the Atlanta Silver Backs Club team. She led the team to the Manchester United Nike Cup championship. She also played in the W-league for the Silverbacks.

Nikki McEachern (Calgary, B.C. Canada) played for the Calgary Celtic Forza Division 1 Club team. She also was a member of the Canadian National Women’s U17 Developmental Roster. She is also in the National Training Center Pool. McEachern also has played in international tournaments with her club team.

“Not only will these young ladies fit in perfectly here at Clemson,” said Bramble. “I can’t wait to see the contributions they will make to our soccer program. In a year in which we don’t lose a large number of players to graduation, we have managed to attract seven players, so far, that will clearly raise the competitive level of our program. I know they are all excited to be joining our program and I am equally as excited to welcome this class.”

Three other players enrolled at Clemson in January.
