Clemson Rowing to Compete in the Rivanna Romp

Clemson, SC – The Clemson rowing team will travel to Charlottesville, VA on Sunday to compete in the Rivanna Romp on the Rivanna Reservoir. The Tigers will compete against ACC rivals Duke and Virginia. Ohio State, Syracuse and Georgetown are also scheduled to compete.

Most recently, the Tigers raced in the Head of the Chattahoochee. The first varsity 8+ claimed the championship with a time of 16.50.4, defeating ACC rival Duke by 20 seconds. Clemson placed fourth and sixth in the novice 8+ race. The Tigers’ fourth-place boat completed the course a mere two seconds behind third-place Texas.

The Rivanna Romp will conclude the fall season for the Clemson rowing team. Clemson will open the traditional spring season in March.
