Clemson defeated Duke 2-0 Saturday, Feb 27th in the first match for the Tigers of the 2016 spring season. Coach Eddie Radwanski was pleased with the way his team played against the 2015 national championship runner-up.
“It was good to play a quality ACC opponent like Duke because we knew it would provide us with a challenging game. Scoring two goals and getting a shutout was a good start to our spring season. A lot of young players got to play and we will take the positives from the day, and now it’s back to training”, said Radwanski of his team’s performance.
The tigers return to action this Saturday, March 5 starting at 11 am in a two-match day against Western Carolina and Wofford at Historic Riggs field. Admission is free to all spring women’s soccer matches.
