Tiger Volleyball Adds Nebraska Standout To The 2003 Squad

Nov. 13, 2002

Clemson head volleyball coach Jolene Jordan Hoover announced the signing of a Nebraska standout to a National Letter of Intent. Kassie Staup of Omaha will join the Clemson volleyball team in August of 2003.

“We are very pleased to announce the addition of Kassie Staup to our volleyball program,” said Hoover. “Kassie is a talent and once she gets comfortable with our system, she will make her presence known in our program. She is a tremendous athlete who will help Clemson to continue to win ACC Championships.”

Staup signed a letter of intent on Wednesday to continue her volleyball career with the Tigers. The 6-2 middle hitter is a two-sport (volleyball and basketball) athlete at Marian High School, earning varsity letters in each sport during her high school career. She has helped lead her 2002 volleyball team to the Nebraska state play-offs. Staup played for the River City Juniors club team.
