June 5, 2003

Clemson, SC –

Steve Pyzik (Mount Airy, MD) signed a free-agent contract with the Atlanta Braves Thursday. In four seasons as a catcher at Clemson, he drove in 57 runs in 168 games and committed just five errors. He had two career walkoff hits and had the game-winning hit against Princeton in the Auburn Regional. He was a member of four NCAA Tournament teams and played in two College World Series.
