Solid Orange Squad Visits Slater-Marietta Elementary

On Friday, October 23, three members of the Solid Orange Squad traveled to Slater-Marietta Elementary to present a Be a T.I.G.E.R! Assembly in conjunction with Red Ribbon Week. The Be a T.I.G.E.R! Assembly is one of the four components of Clemson athletics’ character education program.

Rachel Sparks (swimming and diving), Bethanie Wachna (track and field) and Stephanie Buffo (track and field) told personal stories, played games and presented interactive skits to promote drug prevention and the T.I.G.E.R. traits of teamwork, integrity, gratitude, education and respect. Over 300 third, fourth and fifth grade students attended the assembly.
