Nov. 19, 2009

CLEMSON, SC – Clemson is one of just four schools in the top 25 of both the AP football and AP men’s basketball polls this week. Clemson is joined in both polls by Texas, Ohio State and Georgia Tech.

Texas is third in both polls, while Ohio State is 12th in football and 16th in men’s basketball. Georgia Tech is seventh in football and 21st in men’s basketball.

Clemson is ranked 18th in this week’s football poll after gaining a 43-23 win at NC State, the team’s fifth straight win and fifth straight game of scoring at least 38 points. Clemson and TCU are the only schools in the nation to score at least 38 points in each of the last five games.

The Clemson men’s basketball team is off to a 2-0 start and is ranked 22nd in the latest AP basketball poll. The Tigers will play at UNC Greensboro on Friday and will play host to Winthrop on Monday before spending the Thanksgiving weekend in California at 76 Classic in Anaheim.
