Clemson Divers Dominate in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA – The Clemson men and women’s divers dominated the field at Woodruff P.E. Center this weekend. Shastin Leathers and Craig Thomas led the Tigers as they competed against Georgia Tech and Emory.

In women’s one-meter action, Shastin Leathers earned first-place honors against Emory and a second-place standing against Georgia Tech with a score of 205.00. Amy Tolley posted a third-place finish against both schools by scoring 199.80 against Georgia Tech and 195.45 against Emory. Jennifer Bires recorded a fourth place finish against Georgia Tech with a scoreof 160.15.

In women’s three-meter action, Shastin Leathers claimed victories over both Georgia Tech and Emory with a score of 226.20. Amy Tolley finished second against Emory and third against Georgia Tech with a score of 206.65.

In the men’s one-meter competition, Craig Thomas posted first-place finishes against both Georgia Tech and Emory with scores of 304.65, and 296.45, respectively. Jonathan Folds earned a second-place finish against Emory with a score of 216.60, and a third-place finish against Georgia Tech with a score of 224.00. Eric Shulick posted a third-place finish against Emory with a score of 212.90, and finished fourth against Georgia Tech with a score o 220.50.

In the men’s three-meter competition, Craig Thomas earned swept both schools again as he earned first-place finishes against Georgia Tech and Emory with a score of 280.80. Eric Shulick posted a second-place finish against Emory, and a third-place finish against Georgia Tech with a score of 245.60.

The men and women’s divers will be in action again on Feb. 2, as they take on ACC foe N.C. State in Raleigh. The first event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
