Women’s Swimming and Diving Travels to Chapel Hill for ACC Championships

CLEMSON, SC – The 2010 ACC Championships are set to start on Wednesday, February 17 at Koury Natatorium in Chapel Hill, NC. The women’s swimming will get underway at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with the 200 medley relay, followed by the 800 free relay at 7:00 p.m. while diving will start on Thursday.

The women will compete in a championship format meet with the preliminaries in the morning and the finals in the evening at 7:00 p.m. All of the finals events will be broadcast on theACC.com. The ACC has an ACC Championship Site that will provide all information on scheduling, video-streaming and live results.

The ACC Championships will cover two weekends. The first weekend with feature women’s swimming, along with both men’s and women’s diving. The platform diving events will take place at Duke University. The men’s swimming will begin competition February 24 and go through February 27.

The first night will begin with the women’s 200 medley relay, representing Clemson will be the group of Kelli Kyle, Katrina Obas, Maddie Tarantolo and Meg Anderson. The Tigers currently rank fourth in the ACC with a NCAA B time in that event.

Clemson senior Kelli Kyle will also be a strong contender as she currently ranks sixth in the ACC in the 100 back with a 54.80, a NCAA B time.

In diving, Clemson’s David Giambra and Patrick Chamberlain will compete.
