Clemson Notes:

  • Sophomore Nelly Perry is averaging 14.0 points per game (14th in the ACC) and 13.8 points per game in ACC play; she has scored in double-figures 17 times this season.
  • Perry scored a career-high 33 points (13-24 fg) vs. Boston College on Feb. 18, becoming the first Tiger to score 30+ points in a game since 2008.
  • Perry’s 33 points vs. Boston College are tied for the most by an ACC player this season.
  • Freshman Aliyah Collier ranks in the top seven among ACC freshmen in rebounding (6.0 rpg) and steals (1.3 spg); she has scored eight or more points in 12/16 ACC contests.
  • Collier scored a career-high 21 points vs. NC State on Feb. 28. She pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds vs. Wake Forest on Feb. 11, the most boards by a Tiger since Dec. 30, 2012.
  • In Clemson’s final two regular season games (at Notre Dame & vs. NC State), Collier averaged 19.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. 
  • Freshman Danielle Edwards was named ACC Rookie of the Week on Dec. 28, the first Tiger to garner the award since the 2012-13 season.
  • Edwards ranks in the top-12 among ACC freshmen in scoring, rebounding, steals, blocks and assists.
  • Against NC State on Feb. 28, Collier and Perry both scored 20+ points, becoming the first Tiger duo to accomplish that feat since Nov. 27, 2014.

Opponent & Series Notes:

  • Clemson holds a 49-20 record all-time against Wake Forest, however, the two teams have never faced each other in the ACC Tournament or in any nuetral site contest.
  • The Tigers and Demon Deacons played once this season, a game in which Wake Forest won, 55-45 on Feb. 11 in Clemson, S.C.
  • Head Coach Audra Smith is looking for her second ACC Tournament win in three seasons. She led the Tigers to a tournament win over Virginia Tech on March 5, 2014 in the first round of the 2014 ACC Tournament.
