The Tigers Record Two More NCAA Qualifying Times At ACC Swim Championships

COLLEGE PARK, MD – The Clemson men’s swimming and diving team remains in fifth-place at the ACC Championships after day two at Campus Recreation Center Natatorium. After 13 events, the Tigers have earned 255 points, just four points behind Florida State in fourth-place. During Friday’s competition, the Tigers earned two more NCAA qualifying times.

Rob Kummer finished fifth in the 100 fly on his way to an NCAA qualifying time of 48.65. Ryan Cassella also posted an NCAA qualifying time for the Tigers in the 100 breast with a time of 55.80.

German Martinez earned a fourth-place finish in the 100 back with a time of 49.66, and teammate Drew Scheerhorn finished eighth with a time of 50.35. The Tiger 800 free relay team of Cristophe Rovira, Brent Hitchcock, Josh Williams, and Mark Henly recorded a fifth-place finish in the event with a time of 6:44.72.

The Tigers will return to action tomorrow morning in the final day of competition from College Park. The preliminaries are set to begin at 11:00 a.m.
