Clemson Men’s Soccer Ranked in NSCAA Preseason Poll

CLEMSON, SC–The Clemson men’s soccer team is ranked 12th in the preseason National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll released Tuesday.

The Tigers advanced to the NCAA Final 16 last year and the Tigers return five starters from that team. Clemson also has 19 letter winners returning. The Tigers finished the 2006 season with a 13-5-2 record overall.

The Tigers opened practice for the 2007 campaign Tuesday morning. Clemson has an exhibition match with UNC-Greensboro on Saturday, August 18, at Historic Riggs Field. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.

The Tigers will open the 2007 season on Friday, August 31, as Clemson plays host to South Carolina.
