CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson men’s soccer team holds it’s annual spring alumni weekend this weekend. Highlights of the weekend include the Tigers’ second spring game against the Atlanta Silverbacks, a golf outing this afternoon, alumni game and banquet celebrating the 2014 team’s accomplishments, including the ACC Tournament Championship.
The Silverbacks, a professional team out of the North American Soccer League (NASL), are the second professional team to visit Historic Riggs Field this spring. The match is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m. Admission is free to all.
Among alumni expected to attend this weekend’s events are members of the 1984 and 1987 national championship teams. Last fall, Clemson hosted members of the 1984 team to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of it’s national championship.
