Vahle Sprints Through Day One Of NCAA Championships

Atlanta, GA- Mark Vahle swam in his first event of the NCAA Championships Thursday morning from the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center in Atlanta, GA. Vahle (Quincy, IL) touched the wall with a time of 20.15 in the 50 freestyle, good for 45th overall. He was the silver medalist in the 50 freestyle at the 2006 ACC Championships, finishing only behind senior Cullen Jones from N.C. State. Jones is seeded second for tonight’s championship finals in the event.
