A native of Daphne, Ala., Clark comes to Clemson after a stellar first year at Utah State. Brie competed in vault, beam and floor and saw scores as high as 9.825, 9.900 and 9.950, respectively. She was tabbed a Second-Team All-American by WCGA, MRGC Freshman and Floor Specialist of the Year while also being named to the MRGC floor first-team and seven time MRGC floor specialist of the week.

CAREER RECORDS: Ranks eighth all-time in school history with nine floor titles.

SINGLE-SEASON RECORDS: Ranks first all-time in school history with a National Qualifying Score of 9.940 on floor… Is second all-time with nine floor titles and her 10 titles overall are tied for fifth in freshman class history.

SINGLE-MEET RECORDS: Tied the school record for the best floor score at an NCAA Regional Championships meet with a 9.925 in Session 1 of the second round of the NCAA Norman Regional (3/31/22)… Tied for the third-best floor score in school history with four 9.950 scores, accomplished most recently at the MRGC Championships (3/19/22).

Freshman Year (2022 – Utah State): Competed on vault, beam and floor in all 13 meets… One of just four freshmen to be named a Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association All-American on floor, earning second-team honors after tying for 16th in the nation with a school-record National Qualifying Score of 9.940 on the event… Ranked first in the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference and sixth in the North Central Region with her 9.940 NQS on floor… Tabbed the MRGC Freshman of the Year and Floor Specialist of the Year, as well as garnering first-team all-league accolades on the event… Earned the honor of MRGC Floor Specialist of the Week seven times… Captured nine floor titles, which ranks second in single-season school history and eighth in a career… Her 10 titles overall are tied for fifth in freshman class history… Tied the school record for the best floor score at an NCAA Regional Championships meet with a 9.925 in Session 1 of the second round of the NCAA Norman Regional (3/31/22), where she also tied for 17th on vault (9.775) and placed 23rd on beam (9.700)… Tied for the third-best floor score in school history with four 9.950s, accomplished most recently at the MRGC Championships (3/19/22)… Also tied for 13th on vault (9.775) and tied for seventh on beam (9.850) at the conference championships (3/19), helping the Aggies win their first-ever MRGC title… Ranked 19th in the MRGC and 38th in the region with an NQS of 9.785 on vault, and tied for ninth in the league and tied for 17th regionally with an NQS of 9.850 on beam… Placed seventh on vault with a career-best score of 9.825 at No. 25 Southern Utah (2/11)… Recorded a personal-best 9.900 on beam at No. 21 BYU (1/28) to tie for third on the event… Had eleven scores of 9.900 or better on floor… Earned academic all-MRGC honors.

CLUB/HIGH SCHOOL: Trained at Planet Gymnastics in Mobile, Alabama, under the direction of Vladimir Novikov, who won a gold medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, and Natasha Novikov… Was the 2019 regional floor champion and state beam champion… As a level-9 gymnast in 2018, was the Eastern Nationals all-around and floor champion… Graduated (2021) from Daphne (Alabama) High School, where she was an honor student… Was a member of First Priority and the Peer Helper Organization, as well as volunteered at the Out of the Darkness Walk/Suicide Prevention.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Terrence and Tonya Clark… Full name is Gabrielle Elizabeth Clark… Has one younger brother… One of the very few gymnasts to ever complete “The Biles” during a floor routine… Majoring in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science.
