Men’s Tennis edges Wake Forest, 4-3

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-Brad Emendorfer defeated Justin Kaufman at number six singles, 6-1, 6-3 in clinching the match and leading Clemson to a 4-3 win over Wake Forest in an Atlantic Coast Conference men’s tennis match at Winston-Salem, NC Thursday.

Clemson’s Head Coach, Chuck Kriese now has 499 wins in his career as he is in his 24th season at Clemson. He could win his 500th match Saturday against North Carolina. Kriese could become only the 14th coach in collegiate tennis history to reach the 500 win plateau.

Clemson is 17-8 on the year, 4-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Wake Forest drops to 11-11 overall, 3-3 in league play.

Clemson will play host to North Carolina Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. in the Tigers’ next action.
