Clemson Women’s Track Competes at Barnett Bank Invitational

GAINESVILLE, FL–The Clemson women’s track team competed at the Barnett Bank Invitational at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, February 7.

The Lady Tigers picked up two provisional qualifiers at the meet. Sophomore Shekera Weston provisionally qualified in the 200m dash with a time of 24.24, finishing fourth. The 1600m relay team of Lashonda Cutchin, Samantha Watt, Nikkie Bouyer, and Shekera Weston recorded a first-place title for Clemson as they turned in a provisional qualifying time of 3:39.32.

Jamine Moton also captured first-place honors in the shot put competition for the Lady Tigers. The freshman posted a personal best mark of 47’7 3/4″ . In the 400m dash competition, Samantha Watt turned in a season best mark of 55.80 for a fifth-place performance.

Clemson plays host to the Tiger Classic on February 13-14 in Littlejohn Coliseum on the Clemson campus.
