Clemson Men’s & Women’s Swimming and Diving Travels To Tallahassee

Oct. 7, 2006

CLEMSON, SC- The Clemson Swimming and Diving teams will travel to Florida State to take on the Seminoles from the Bobby E. Leach Center on Saturday, October 7 in the first regular season meet of the year for the Tigers. The Seminoles are ranked #16 on the men’s side, and the women’s team is currently #17 nationally. The meet is set for 11 a.m.

In order to pull off the upset, Clemson will rely heavily on their senior leadership. The Tigers return six seniors to the men’s 2006-07 squad, and the women will have seven seniors to lead their talented team. This is the third year in a row that Clemson is opening the season with an ACC opponent. Clemson will have to start fast as the Tiger teams were swept by Florida State in Clemson last season. All-time, the men’s team is 3-6, while the women’s team is 2-5-1 against the Seminoles.
