ACC Women’s Basketball Media Day Video Available Now on ACC Select

The Atlantic Coast Conference held its annual Women’s Basketball Media Day on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, NC. Clemson Head Coach Cristy McKinney and senior guard Tasha Taylor attended as the Lady Tigers’ representatives. McKinney addressed her team’s youth and her expectations for the upcoming season, while Taylor answered questions relating to her injury recovery as well as how the team is shaping up for her senior campaign.

The conference’s preseason poll, as voted on by the newly formed Blue Ribbon Panel, was released on Wednesday morning. North Carolina was picked as the favorite to win the ACC. Clemson was ninth in the preseason rankings. The Blue Ribbon Panel, beginning in the 2008-09 season, consists of national and local media members, as well as school representatives. In addition to the league’s preseason poll, the panelists will vote on weekly honors and postseason All-Conference teams.
